These are the things I do when changing my blog style...

• Change background
• Change header
• Change font color (links , posts , tabs , titles...)
• Change sidebar tags
• Change chat box color
• Change cursor 
• Change text widget color 
• Change font type (optional)
• Change template (optional)
• Change width (if required)
• Change placement of side bars (optional - depends on mood)
